John loved to sit on his patio but he didn’t have any shade. Because garden umbrellas were a hassle and didn’t provide the needed protection from the hot summer sun, he sought a larger, more permanent shade canopy. John first visited Outdoor Personia’s Bellingham design center to see if we could provide the solution he was seeking. Then we set an appointment to visit his home so we could look at his patio and make a recommendation.
We took measurements and designed a pergola that would attach to his house above the patio doors and be supported by two posts on the far side of his patio. We set the height so that it would not block the view from a side window.
Just a few short weeks after our consultation, John is now enjoying the shade under his new wood pergola.
