Brian and Keri’s family love spending time around their backyard swimming pool, but their enjoyment was diminished by an outdated shed that no longer served their needs. They envisioned a new pool house that would offer more storage, increased privacy, and a stylish design perfect for entertaining. Given the limited space of their narrow pool patio, it was crucial to have a structure that was both functional and fitting. After consulting with us at our Bellingham Design Center, where Brian and Keri shared their vision, a design consultant visited their Millis, MA home to assess the space. Based on this collaboration, we recommended a Swan Custom 8×24 Pool House, designed to perfectly complement their needs and enhance their outdoor experience.
The 8×16 section of the structure is dedicated to housing the swimming pool’s filtration system and offers ample space for storing chemicals, furniture, and garden tools. Additionally, an interior loft provides more storage capacity. Attached to this is an 8×8 covered pavilion featuring a granite countertop, providing a shaded area ideal for relaxing and entertaining by the pool.
Outdoor Personia managed the building process including removing the old shed, and coordinated with the couple’s landscape and pool contractors for site preparation and scheduling delivery. Because of limited access from the street, we eventually needed to lift the completed structure into the backyard by a crane for the least amount of disruption to Brian and Keri’s property.
Brian and Keri are very happy that we converted the underutilized area on their pool patio into a functional and fun outdoor living space.
