Our recent project in Jamestown, Rhode Island, transformed a simple poolside area into an inviting, multi-functional outdoor retreat. Our clients, Adam and Lisa already had an existing swimming pool and a small storage shed but sought a shady space for entertaining and relaxing by the pool. After our pool house design consultant visited the couple at their beautiful home and discussed various design options, we recommended a Swan Custom 12×36 Pool House. Included in the design is an 8×12 enclosed kitchenette with an attached 12×28 open pavilion, seamlessly blending style, functionality, and comfort.
The pool house features custom cabinets with a granite countertop leaving enough space for a refrigerator. The enclosed area is perfect for both storage and entertaining guests sitting by the open serving window. The interior space of the open pavilion focuses on creating a relaxing ambiance with stained exposed rafters and two decorative ceiling fans adding comfort on hot summer days. With comfortable seating arrangements, this spacious pavilion offers protection from the sun while maximizing views of the pool and the couple’s house. It’s the perfect spot to lounge with friends and family or enjoy a peaceful, shaded retreat.
For this project, our focus was on blending functionality and luxury, meeting the client’s needs for convenience while delivering a design that complements the relaxing ambiance of their property. The result is a fully personalized pool house and pavilion that turn a plain poolside area into an inviting outdoor living space. Adam and Lisa are very happy that we converted the underutilized area on their pool patio into a functional and fun outdoor living space where they love to entertain and hang out after a refreshing swim in the pool.
