John realized that his home’s lower-level garage wasn’t providing enough space for both storage and parking his family’s growing car collection. He came into our Bellingham Design Center to meet a custom garage consultant and discuss his dreams of a new spacious detached garage. John wanted his dream garage to have enough room to park up to 3 vehicles and have plenty of loft space for much-needed storage. In addition to function, he wanted the new garage’s exterior to match the color and style of his beautiful Rochester, MA home.
We visited John’s property to survey the landscape while we collaborated with him on designing a custom Trestle 30x40 Three-Car Garage. The garage’s unique design includes an oversized center doorway to accommodate the space needed to fit John’s boat when being parked on its trailer. We provided the interior with two spacious walk-up lofts for storage or even an area for Yoga sessions. John also requested a covered farmer’s porch with a Duratemp finished ceiling providing his property with an additional outdoor living space. The garage’s two side peaks, as well as each of the roof’s dormers, are sided with unfinished cedar shake shingles providing a rustic detail.
Outdoor Personia first obtained all the necessary permits, including careful collaboration with Rochester's conservation requirements. As part of our personalized service, we then prepared the site, poured the concrete slab foundation, installed the wiring, and coordinated with John’s landscape contractors at every step of the building process.
