Custom 12×15 Shed Greenhouse Combo in Sudbury, MA

Jeanine, a passionate gardener, nurtures a variety of herbs and vegetables in her beautiful home’s scenic backyard. She envisioned an enclosed space to extend the shortened New England growing season, providing her with a sanctuary to tend to her plants, sheltered from the region’s unpredictable weather. In addition to her gardening space, Jeanine was looking for a convenient storage area to keep her potting soil, watering supplies, gloves, hoses, and the various tools she uses to pursue her daily gardening routine.

After exploring various resources online, Jeanine visited our Bellingham Design Center, where she discussed her ideas with a design consultant. Together, they sketched out and planned the perfect solution: a Haven custom 12×15 Shed Greenhouse Combo. As an aside, our client chose the recommended overall size to stay within the limits of the town’s bylaws and avoid the need for a permit.

The structure, personalized to match Jeanine’s dream, was constructed in the Outdoor Personia production shop and delivered fully built to her picturesque property in Sudbury, MA. The 7×15 greenhouse portion is built with a sturdy solid cedar wood structure, featuring 30-inch knee walls clad in pine clapboard siding. The upper portion of the walls and ceiling are made of polyacrylic, while the roof is covered with double-wall polycarbonate panels that diffuse the sunlight.

Jeanine envisioned a clean and orderly interior, with a single potting bench to facilitate easy plant care and maintenance. We incorporated two automated louvered vents to handle the seasonal temperature changes that maintain a stable interior climate. For a truly inspiring ambiance, Jeanine selected natural cedar clapboard siding and a ground cover of finely crushed stones.

The attached 5×15 shed offers ample storage space for Jeanine to keep her essential gardening tools organized and within reach. After custom-painting the exterior to complement the color scheme of her home, the finished project is a beautiful retreat where our happy client now relaxes and enjoys her love for gardening throughout the year.
