Custom 20×40 Dormer Pavilion in Duxbury, MA

When Erica and Michael began renovating their backyard in Duxbury, Massachusetts, their plans included a new swimming pool, stone patio, and gas fire pit area. They also envisioned a covered outdoor structure with an outdoor kitchen that would provide shade while creating a large, open space for entertaining family and friends. An important part of the design was incorporating a private storage room to house their pool filtration system, keeping equipment protected and out of sight.

Erica and Michael visited the Outdoor Personia Design Center in Hanover, MA, where they collaborated with one of our design consultants to explore layout options and pavilion styles. After reviewing sketches and discussing how the structure would function within their backyard renovation, the team recommended a Custom 20×40 Dormer Pavilion that perfectly matched their vision.

The pavilion features an 8-foot dormer integrated into the roof system, allowing additional natural light while creating a brighter, more spacious feel inside the covered outdoor living area. To complement the architecture of their Duxbury home, the pavilion was designed with square vinyl columns, a white-painted wood interior ceiling, and custom sliding barn doors for the storage room.

Today, Erica and Michael enjoy a shaded outdoor kitchen pavilion that blends seamlessly with their backyard design. Positioned next to their fire pit and patio, the space has become a comfortable and functional gathering spot for hosting family and friends.
