While he was still early in the process of designing his pool area, Jim decided to visit Outdoor Personia’s Bellingham location. He was almost ready to choose a pool builder, and wanted to explore the possibility of including a pool house in his design.
After our initial meeting, we scheduled a block of time to explore the needs and desires of both Jim and his wife. Clearly, they needed a place to change clothing as well as a storage area for pool supplies, furniture, and other items. But most important was an entertainment area, wet bar, and sitting area.
They wanted to make the pool house a focal point and loved the idea of accenting the front of the structure and bar area with a natural stone facing. As they were also considering a natural stone waterfall, they also wanted to tie the stone into the pool house.
During the design process we worked closely with them to ensure that both the setback and height requirements were in compliance with local zoning regulations. Their neighbor had built a pool house a year earlier only to find that their contractor did not comply with local zoning requirements and were now looking at a significant cost to relocate the structure.
Outdoor Personia enjoys working with many local homeowners to design and build custom pool houses for poolside entertaining. Let us discuss a custom pool house with you!
