A Blessed Day of Giving Back to Our Community

A big thank you to the amazing Outdoor Personia Team during our most recent Day of Charitable Giving! Everyone contributed with a real sense of fellowship and gratitude as we helped our community neighbors in need.

We reached out and communicated with a number of people that we believed would benefit from either our time, treasures, or many talents we have to offer. We experienced an incredible day of service by splitting up into a number of smaller crews that focused on a particular neighbor’s own unique situation. The various projects ranged from much-needed yard cleanups to custom building a wheelchair-accessible garden swing!

One of our crews used their skills to repair a shed with a roof that was ready to collapse. The thankful homeowners now have a better insulated and weather-resistant backyard workshop and storage space! We also helped clean up and rebuild another neighbor’s roadside landscaping to prevent further damage to their house caused by passing traffic. At an elementary school’s playground, one of our lead carpenters built a needed platform adaptable for children with special needs. Yet another crew traveled to a home damaged by recent storms, where they cleared out tree brush and even repaired a pigeon coop.

Another of our lead carpenters, with the help of an amazing crew, custom-built a garden swing for a special young man confined to his wheelchair. His family can now all sit and relax together on this one of a kind adaptable swing. See article in the Valley Breeze newspaper here.
