The Davenport family are avid golfers and wanted to create a space that allowed them to hit the greens no matter the weather or season with a golf simulator. To accommodate their equipment, they needed a shed at least fourteen feet wide and more than twenty feet long. Height was also an important factor during the design process. The Davenports visited our Bellingham Design Center and after reviewing options decided on a Trestle Custom 15×22 Golf Shed. The wall height accommodated the interior space needed for a simulator (7’4″) with a roof pitch of 8/12.
Because the shed was going to be used year-round, it made sense to completely insulate the structure including the floor, walls, and ceiling. To give them even further comfort, the Davenports intend to install a combined heat and air conditioning system in the future. Outdoor Personia also added Hardie Board siding to match the exterior styling of their home. Outdoor Personia removed an existing shed on the property and then created the appropriate crushed stone foundation for the new building. A few weeks later, the project was completed and the Davenports were ready to install the golf simulator and start enjoying their hobby.
