Chris and Coleen of Hanover, MA are passionate gardeners ready to elevate their hobby with a purpose-built structure designed for year-round growing. Their vision: a functional greenhouse for easy potting and extended growing seasons, paired with an attached storage shed for tools and equipment – all in one cohesive design. After visiting our Hanover Design Center, they collaborated with an Outdoor Personia design consultant to create a Custom 10×20 Shed Greenhouse Combo that seamlessly blends form and function.
The 6×10 greenhouse portion features a durable wood frame constructed from pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine. A 30″ knee wall finished in DuraTech siding provides strength and visual continuity, while the upper walls are clear polyacrylic wall panels with a UV-coated polycarbonate roof for optimal light transmission and plant health. Custom planting shelves line each wall, making potting and daily plant care efficient and enjoyable.
The attached 10×14 storage shed includes two screened vinyl windows, a wide 6′ double door for easy access, and a dormer accented with transom windows to enhance natural light and architectural appeal. The exterior was custom-painted to complement the home’s yellow-and-white color palette, and an 18″ Cupola with copper roof adds a polished, finished look. Before delivering the custom-built structure Outdoor Personia handled the site preparation including a level pad of crushed stone and poured 2 concrete footings for stability.
Chris and Coleen now enjoy the custom structure they envisioned – supporting year-round gardening while doubling as a spacious, functional storage shed.
